Investigators in to the well publicized Jeff Hardy house fire have concluded that they are unable to define the cause of the devastating blaze due to the severity of the damage, although Jeff has gone on record saying faulty wiring may be a possibility. Hardy lost everything he owns including his pet dog Jack and is currently residing with Matt during his WWE suspension. |

ECW Announcer Joey Styles Replaced by Mike Adamle as ECW Last night (4/15/08) during ECW on SciFi, it was announced that Joey Styles, for many the voice of ECW, is being replaced in his announcers role by Mike Adamle. The announcement has caused a lot of speculation. For some Joey Styles was the last link between WWE's ECW product and the original ECW. However, realistically the new ECW is a completely different broadcast regardless of who is doing the announcing. Reportedly the reason for the change has little or nothing to do with unhappiness with Styles, but was more about making the best use of their employees skills. WWE is apparently dissatisfied with its website WWE.com. They see Joey Styles (who previously co-owned the original ECW website and the 1wrestling.com website as someone who may be able to build their website into a significant part of the WWE product. The second reason for the change is rumored to be Mike Adamle's contract. It's claimed that Adamle (a former American Gladiators host) is making $300,000 a year and so WWE wants to get the most for their money by putting him high profile position. It's entirely possible that if Adamle does poorly in his new role, Styles will simply be moved back again. |

WrestleMania XXIV is in the books, but the land of SmackDown is experiencing lingering effects from the grand event that point to an epic war at Backlash on Sunday, April 27. This week, there could be an international incident when SmackDown travels across the pond to the United Kingdom.
Ever since Undertaker defeated Edge at WrestleMania XXIV to become the new World Heavyweight Champion, SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero has thrown all kinds of challenges his way. Last Friday on SmackDown, it was the corn-fed colossus, Festus.
Tuesday night on ECW on Sci Fi, however, The Deadman took a detour to the Land of the Extreme, as he and brother Kane - who Guerrero has also thrown in The Phenom's path - teamed up for the first time ever in ECW to topple WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison and The Miz.
This Friday, however, the GM has ordered Undertaker to face another formidable opponent The Phenom is all too familiar with – Batista.
In their last one-on-one encounter, The Animal defeated The Deadman in a Hell in a Cell Match at Survivor Series 2007. Both men will be looking to gain momentum for their major Backlash battles, but The Animal also knows that a win over The Phenom would please VIckie Guerrero and possibly put him in line for another title opportunity.
But before Batista faces Undertaker, he will be a special guest on Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel to kick off Friday Night SmackDown. On the last edition of Jericho’s Highlight Reel on Raw, HBK delivered some hard-hitting Sweet Chin Music to the champion. Now that Y2J has been named the special referee in the HBK vs. Batista match at Backlash, what could be in store when he brings the Highlight Reel to Friday night?
Two of the biggest Superstars in the world – Big Show and Mark Henry – are set to do battle in a match this Friday on SmackDown. Last Friday, Big Show dropped The Great Khali with a knockout punch after rejecting the Punjabi giant’s Peace Offering. With Big Show on the warpath to facing the Punjabi giant at Backlash, what kind of battle will we see when he collides with the World’s Strongest Man?
Things are shaking up in the land of Divas now that Natalya Neidhart is in the fray. In her SmackDown debut, Natalya delivered a vicious beating to Michelle McCool. A week later on SmackDown, Natalya distracted McCool, causing her to lose to Victoria. Now that Natalya and Victoria appear to have formed an alliance, what will the rest of the Divas have to say about it?
As the SmackDown Superstars get ready for all out war at Backlash, witness all of the planning on Friday Night SmackDown at 8/7 CT on The CW Network.
Also, don't forget that this coming Monday, the King of the Ring Tournament returns on Raw. Superstars from all three brands will be competing in this prestigious tournament, which has been won by such greats as Edge, Triple H and Stone Cold. Will one of SmackDown's own bring the crown to Friday nights? To find out, tune in to a special three-hour Raw this coming Monday, 8/7 CT on USA Network.

With Backlash less than two weeks away, ECW Champion Kane has begun building momentum, thanks in part to some help from a fellow champion – and family member. The Brothers of Destruction, Kane & World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker, were victorious over The Miz & John Morrison on the last ECW on Sci Fi, demolishing the WWE Tag Team Champions.
But when Kane defends the ECW title against Chavo Guerrero at Backlash, the Big Red Machine won’t have his brother with him in the ring. How will Kane fare in the days leading to Backlash? How will Guerrero enlist the help of his new bodyguard, Bam Neely, as he tries to win back ECW gold?
Kofi Kingston’s winning streak also continued last Tuesday night, as he led his team of CM Punk, Jimmy Wang Yang,& Shannon Moore to victory in an Eight-Man Tag Team Match against Deuce, Domino, Shelton Benjamin & Elijah Burke. The Jamaican Superstar has been blazing a path through every challenger he meets; who will step up to challenge Kingston next? Will anyone be able to stop the Jamaican sensation?
In other ECW action, Mike Knox continued his winning ways in London. Under ECW General Manager Armand Estrada’s watchful eye, Knox was victorious over Colin Delaney, who was once again fighting for a WWE contract. The youngster wasn’t able to enlist the aid of ECW Original Tommy Dreamer this week, as his bad luck continues. Will Delaney’s fortune eventually turn around? Will he ever earn a WWE contract?
Find out the answers to these questions and more on next week's ECW on Sci Fi, Tuesday at 10/9 CT.
Also, don’t forget that this coming Monday, the King of the Ring Tournament returns on a special three-hour Raw. Superstars from all brands will be competing in this prestigious tournament. Will one of the Land of the Extreme’s own join the likes of Triple H, Stone Cold and Edge as rulers of the WWE kingdom? Find out Monday night, live at 8/7 CT on USA Network.
